Meaningful Monuments
Currently, monuments primarily serve the purpose of producing shards. There has been discussion about limiting them to one monument per color, but in my opinion, that would make them feel underwhelming.
If such a limitation is introduced, my suggestion would be to give monuments an additional role: acting as beacons. By steadily supplying them with modules, they could provide a factory-wide buff. This change would transform monuments from being simple shard converters into meaningful milestones and impactful late-game features.

To add to this, maybe the buff could have 2 or 3 tiers depending on how many modules/minute are supplyied, like for example, the grey monument could give a 2x mining boost at T1 and require a 15 modules/minute input, 4x at T2 requiring 30/minute and 8x with 60/minute. other Possible buffs could me making furnaces consume less polyrock per cube, making painters use less paint (or make the paint item get multible uses) or making advacend machines use less coolant -

davidActually great point. And that is now the case. I won't spoil too much, but the monuments will play a crucial role in the endgame. They won't actually produce anything, but you're not far of with your buff suggestion :)
