Progression too fast
It might just be an issue of my playstyle, since I tend to already overengineer the early parts. I used all polyrock nodes available on the first island to do basic bots and data shards, which led to me producing pretty high quantities early on.
After I reached lvl 2 I started on building blue pigment and one of the challenge things but before I even got started on blue bots I reached lvl 3 from just basic bots.
That made it feel like like there was a lot of stuff already unlocked I haven’t even started on building yet and pressured me a little to take less time for certain things that I normally would have.
I assume that most people won’t have that problem but it’s something that could be taken into consideration.
I don’t really have a concrete idea to fix it since setting the basic bots requirement for the 2nd reward higher seems like too much for more casual players.
Maybe it could be made so that you don’t reach lvl 3 from just the 2 basic bots and need something else as well

TrichouetteI think the issue here is how you can reach higher ranks just by... waiting.
Once you have bot factories or challenge-module factories, you can just wait and reach the next rank.
I don't think it's an issue since you end up being locked by the next tier of datashard anyway. -

TrixxitI found the progression (island and tech tree) to be good.
Yes, when "overengineering" the grey buildings early on, it can feel quiet fast. I recently reached rank 4 with only unlocking one more islands (for more resources) but without touching blue buildings.
As soon as I start working on blue buildings and blue data shards, I struggel with "overengineering" (probably because of resource and space management), and suddenly things slow down. If anything, it only becomes a waiting game for me, because of poor prioritization and inefficiency. -

David PrinsmelHey, David (dev) here. The progression was designed to go fast at the start, but it'll exponentially grow more difficult over time. This is to not overwhelm new players in the first few hours. At a certain point, even your "over engineered" factory won't suffice anymore. The moment a new color comes into play, you'll also need to massively increase your earlier factories.
Let us know if you still feel like this past rank 10 :)
