Harvester Pad Upgrade
I would like to see upgrades to the harvester pad to allow for additional capacity and discharge outlets.
The current Harvester Pad is unable to keep up with the increased efficiency of the production line, resulting in overflowing supplies. To resolve this issue, we would like to add an upgrade to the Harvester Pad in the tech tree.
P.S.This is a translation from Japanese, so please forgive any parts that are difficult to understand.

This can be deleted. Will add to USA_San's suggestion of the same ilk (I searched drone but not harvester). -

Thomas Preudhomme Admin PinnedNote that adding splitters directly at the output of a harvester pad allows it to output faster ( similar to how splitters after cutters work ) ; this in addition to storage depot should fix "overflowing".
We are looking into the issue of drones not being able to keep up with buildings production ! -

ChronoTactIX MergedCurrent Drone flight times could use some balancing at the high end of efficiency. Their designed purpose is to work as hubs but buildings (especially large variants) when running at 100% efficiency often require the harvester pad to be dropped DIRECTLY next to the building in question. This not only limits harvest pads to 1:1, but also reduces further possible efficiencies with the building (losing a side of hub slots).
Image is attached, but you can see that the fastest a drone can get (at the end of the blue tier/all blue upgrades - which I use as a baseline for testing) is 3.92...which is STILL too slow for the building even though the pad is bumped directly to the building and is 1:1.
This limits the expected throughput, and prevents 100% throughput. For example, the setup in this image should be 240ppm, but it maxes out at 208 using this layout.
I believe some balance is needed so that max efficiency within a tier can be hit with matching upgrades. -

ChronoTactIXHad this as the same suggestion posted after USA_San's, so just adding here for better visibility:

DanielI agree, the drones feel kinda worthless atm in the demo. All it does is slow down production and take up space on the islands.

MaxMasterBI think an upgradable drone port like it works with the facilities would be nice. You could upgrade it to have up to four drones fly to the same facility and get a higher throughput that way. I think drone ports are a good idea for medium distance transport but for close distance to unreliable.
I think for close distance something like a high speed rail between facilities that transport goods above the standard belts below would be interesting making you independent from drones in close distances but limited in distance so drones still have their place. (Maybe upgradeble too for faster transport speeds.)
Drones are better for medium distances in my opinion. e.G. you need some item on the other side of the same island. There a drone port would work and wouldn't contradict the high speed rail I was talking about before. -

Thomas Preudhomme System"Drone Speed Balancing (Blue Tier+)" (suggested by <Hidden> on 2026-02-17), including upvotes (1) and comments (1), was merged into this suggestion.

Thomas Preudhomme AdminJust a heads up, we're looking into ways to fix the overall issue with drone speed being inefficient / confusing , putting this suggestion to "planned" even though the result might slightly differ from the suggestion !

Thomas Preudhomme AdminWe have changed how drones and harvester pad work. Drones speed will no longer be an issue, and instead drones will appear from building and go to the linked harvester pad. If the travel time is longer than the building production, another new drone will be spawned to carry that new load. Buildings will therefore never be bottlenecked by drones anymore !
