Tech Tree Redesign (WIth Suggested Look)
The current tech tree is very chaotic and needs fixing if it's to be usable. The levels you need to unlock are not vertically consistent, and some chains are just thrown in the middle of no where. I've attached a screenshot of how It could better be useful. I've got a View Only link here to a Figma file I've been working on if you want to explore the idea in more detail https://www.figma.com/design/NsnT9x7fORu29fON9itHyz/Untitled?node-id=2-33&t=60Qdz6LriCKEJi7d-1

Like Bear wrote, I would appreciate a better overview of what I can unlock with each shard color, too. -

BearFor sure I have to wonder around 3 times always when I want to upgrade something, or trying to figure out what to spend my upgrade points. The whole chart indeed quite chaotic.
- the whole concept seemingly that more right on the screen higher level you need to unlock. And while individual items are consistent, some progress journey having already 14 and other journey having 12 which is more right to them. So if you look for what stuff you can unlock on x level where you are: confusing
- also the required shard color is inconsistent, some technology can unlocked only with blue while others with white, and some items unlockable with white all the way. So if you look for what stuff you can unlock with your x color of unlock points: confusing -

eightBrainCellsUnsure if it’s in other suggestions, but I would also LOVE if you could search for a tech by typing.

Thomas Giles (tapgiles)By the way, I made a quick, hacky search in a webpage. It shows the full tech tree. https://tapgiles.com/modulus/tech-tree/ Use the browser to look around, zoom, and search for text.

Thomas Giles (tapgiles)I'd also like to suggest the text of each node could be revised. There's a lot of naming inconsistency, missing spaces here and there, that kind of thing.

Thomas Giles (tapgiles)Regarding renaming things... Adding the speed to speed upgrades would be great.
Also, I'm not sure what the difference is between dye mixer "efficiency" vs "speed"--just by the names at least. More speed = more efficiency, in way. From the titles, my guess is efficiency means more produced for the same input? And then speed is more input for more output? It's just not the clearest on the title. Maybe a number associated with it (beyond the abstract "level") would help with those also. Like "outputs 3" for efficiency and "15/s -> 30/s" for the mixers speed.
