Improved Operator Info (Inputs and Outputs)
Improving the labelling of the operator throughput. When an operator, such as the cutter, says 30/m in and 60/m out, I understand it doubles the input based on the cut I made. However, sometimes I don’t have 30/m in, I may only have 15/m in and therefore would get 30/m out, but the display still shows 30/m in and 60/m out because it always shows you the max available throughput. It would be good to be able to toggle between max throughput so you know what is available for the operator level or current throughput, so you can manage your production line more efficiently. I can work it out but it involves going back along the line and counting inputs and outputs which can get confusing. This would be a really useful feature!

Very much in support of this. While the counter can be used for this, the calibration time is a bit clunky, especially when you’re prototyping a build and are shifting parts around frequently. Having that info separated out into a world object instead of one UI element just feels kinda odd too. -

iwantbreadI agree, it only showing max throughput can get confusing at times when figuring out how much you are making. If it's not possible to calculate the input/min to output/min on the operator maybe it could show a simple "1x" to "2x", "4x", or "0.5x" style system when setting the recipe to help identify how much you'll be getting out?

GinoPaninoYou already need to know the input to understand your factory so it's just a matter of calculating using the ratio. Maybe a more advanced statistics panel would help, showing what the machine has produced in the last minute for example.

ChristianThe counter already helps with this and if you want to see further down which building is clogged use the efficiency view

Thomas Giles (tapgiles)Yeah, I think having the max shown is good. But it should also show current input/output speeds. Perhaps in the form of: 15/m (max 30/m) -> 30/m (max 60/m).

DaykeeperThis is by far my most wanted/needed feature. I know, using the efficiency overlay (H) when outside of buildings can hint at e.g. 50% efficiency - therefore the original posters example: 30/m in and 60/out would translate to an actual 15/m in and 30/out. But debugging production lines with this + counters is unnecessarily slow imo. Here's what i would love to see instead: 1. Inside of buildings, e.g. operater: show "15/m (30/m)" in and "30/m (60/m)" out. First number is actual/current throughput and the second one is the max amount possible. This way you enter any building and see immediately all you need to improve and debug that production line. 2. Outside of buildings, I'd like to see that exact info as well. Either a seperate Hotkey to show an overlay of actual/max throughput (15/30/m) or add it to the "H" overlay and make the throughput a checkbox in the menu (- show throughput on efficiency overlay on/off). These would improve new player understanding and veterans QOL! Thanks!
