Having a short cut to rotate stuff counterclockwise would be a QOL plus

Shift+R for counterclockwise rotation.

Good suggestion. I keep on using my mouse wheel to rotate (habit from another game) once the move tool is activated. It will make it easy to rotate in both direction.
