Smart Belts
In Modulus the direction of the belt is only determined by where you started dragging and where you ended. So if you start dragging from some input of a machine to some output of another machine, the belt will go in the wrong direction. In a game like Satisfactory, this is not possible. The belt will go in the direction the context allows (only from output to input). If you started dragging from output and try to connect to another output, it should visibly show the user that this is not possible.

Jarvs Tasker AdminThe autopathing of the belts needs a lot of work. Also the player needs to be able to over ride the placement auto rotation of belts. Try and help the player sure, but don't refuse the player to rotate belts any way they like even if the player is stupid. I had to restart the demo right at the beginning because the auto rotate refused to let me rotate a belt and place it on a corner. Never stop the player. If the player does it wrong they can tear it down and rebuild it, and learn from their error. - Steam User

JsdfbnI find belts sometimes refuse to go in the direction that you want them to as well when being placed near other buildings. Not being able to plan multiple bends in single click/drag is a little irksome as well. Shapez 2 lets you press a button to "pin" a spot where you want to turn your belts next and you can continue dragging from there. But you need to let go of a belt after 1 turn and start again in Modulus, just wasted clicks.
